Customer Service is the Key!
Long gone are the days where we find GREAT Customer Service in every business model. In fact these days even the most basic Customer Service standards are hard to find, and if you are like me, then these low standards are what makes you shop elsewhere!
One site is all about highlighting and promoting JUST those sites that are determined to meet the expected standard in Customer Service and care, and the site owners are proud to be among the front runners, in trying to resurrect what we used to take for granted.
Sites and Businesses that you find on the internet, may have been reviewed and appraised by this team, to exacting standards, and they are honored to have the responsibility of promoting them to you, in an effort to draw attention to the standards you should be expecting from the places you do business with. After all, why should a website or business that has little focus or concern for your rights and expectations, be in a position to ask you for your money? They shouldn’t!
Customer Service is still the major factor that I look for when I do business with anyone. My philosophy is simple, and it applies as much in the offline world as it does online. “If you want my money, prove to me you are worthy of it.” It really is that simple!
If I come across a site that is offering the same product that I can get from 1000 other sites, that site had better have something to offer me, that the other 1000 can’t offer me. I will not spend my money with a business that can’t supply me with my basic expectations, as a customer.
I expect a fair price for a product or service. I expect immediate or timely communication, both pre-sale and post-sale. I expect courtesy and respect, and above all else I expect the truth! These are the basic requirements I have, for any business that wants me to spend time or money with them. You should be expecting nothing less than these same standards.
The sites and businesses listed on any site, should have been tested on these basic requirements, and only those that pass with flying colors, should have the privilege of being there. You should be able to feel confident in the knowledge that the businesses listed there, are going to provide you with the level of care that you deserve.
It seems that somewhere along the way, businesses have decided to take the attitude that we (the consumers) owe them something. They have decided to adopt the attitude that they are entitled to our money because they are in business supplying what it is we are looking for. Have you noticed this “arrogance” particularly in industries like “Real Estate” and “Banking”? Well the same type of misinformation is creeping into the online world, and it needs to be stopped in its tracks.
Bryce Hitchen has spent many years at both ends of the business measuring stick, and recently started two web based businesses, aimed at regenerating the customer service standards once found as normal business practice, but today so hard to find.
From deigning Web graphics, websites, and content, he also spends quality time at his Members community advising people new to the internet, so they are not caught in the typical traps set by those with a little more deviance and cunning. Typically you will find Bryce giving his time for nothing and helping people in need, and much of the time, to his own neglect. However this is where he receives most enjoyment, and it something I don’t think will change in the very near future.
Having recently completed development of a brand new software product, again aimed specifically at internet customers, and providing them with the necessary level of protection, and knowledge of how to save thousands of dollars in potentially wasted money, he is now back at the helm of his “content production” site, generating employment for people all around the world, and quality unique content for website owners and managers.
